I just want to watch some goddamn Rockford Files:
cute ladies wear slacks; the bad guys chew gum.
Maybe after this I’ll watch some Magnum, P. I.

I love the snappy dialogue:  “He’s in the joint.”
“That’s my taco!” “Stay here; I’ll check it out!”
I just want to watch some goddamn Rockford Files.

I’ll have more soup; fifth fucking bowl today.
If I cough anymore I’m going to piss myself.
Maybe after this I’ll watch some Magnum, P. I.

I should take a bath with eucalyptus oil, sea salt,
go back to bed with some herbal tea, but
I just want to watch more goddamn Rockford Files.

I love the theme song, trailer, Firebird that never dies.
He climbs out wincing, has a hitch in his getalong.
Maybe after this I’ll watch some Magnum, P. I.

but I hate the sensitive voice over; compared to Jim
Rockford, Magnum’s kind of gay.  What’s up with those shorts?
I just want to watch some goddamn Rockford Files,
but I guess I can settle for some Magnum, P. I.
