When There's No Money for the Bar by Aaron Frieden

I was sipping on the neon green listerine,

as the black girls in the park looked on and laughed at me.

Today there was no money for the bar,

so I settled for the cartoon colored liquid

in my cabinet that makes it a little easier to settle.

When you can not afford the good stuff you must settle.

For less love.

Less food.

Less pay.

For not kissing the pretty black girls in the park.

Just sipping your neon green listerine,

wishing you had the money for the bar.

Aaron Frieden is a highly unsuccessful writer and musician. According to his work history he is most skilled in washing dishes in the back of Italian restaurants and Pizza Huts.
