POETRY
Enough
Betsy Martin

Two crowns of light
flicker on the table,

cast by the flames
through votive holders,

asking her why
she

has no words
and he

has no words
as they eat,
and she wonders

if they’ve said all the words
in thirty years together
or if

simply
light is enough.
